Village of Alma Center property owners (residences, businesses, and yes vacant properties too), it is YOUR responsibility to clear ALL SNOW and/or ICE to the width of the sidewalk within 24 hours after the snow has ceased to fall and shall be kept clear per village ordinance 2012-01-02 amended ordinance 4-2-7 Section 1 (a). ![]()

Those of you who have not done your part, we have had MANY complaints some of your sidewalks are not being maintained properly or at all. This is very unsafe for everyone. This ordinance will be enforced. We are now in a timeframe from the last snow that this needs to be done. We will enforce the ordinance procedures to rectify areas not in compliance for the safety of all pedestrians. ![]()

Just a friendly reminder to village residents, the last day you can pay your 1st installment of property tax here in the village office is this Friday, January 30th. I will be in the office this Thursday, January 29th until 2:30 pm. You can leave your payment in the secured drop box outside the village office door any time Thursday if office is closed and I will check the drop box first thing Friday morning to apply all payments right away. I will be here our normal Friday office hours from 8:00 am -12:00 pm. Please do not put any property tax payments in the drop box after Friday's office hours. They will not be received before the month's end time frame. Thank you all!!
The Village office will be closed tomorrow Thursday, January 22 and will open again Friday with our regular office hours from 8am to 12pm.
