The Village of Alma Center is committed to ensuring its digital services are accessible to everyone. We have invested significant resources into optimizing Almacenterwi.gov to ensure it is easy to navigate and fully accessible for people with disabilities, following the principle that every person has the right to live with dignity, equality, and independence.
Compliance Standard
We strive to maintain compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.2) at the AA level. Unlike many municipal sites, we have prioritized native code optimization and semantic structure to ensure the highest level of compatibility with screen readers and assistive technologies.
Accessibility Features
Keyboard Navigation: The site is fully navigable via keyboard.
Semantic Structure: Headings and elements follow a strict, sequentially-descending order for clear navigation.
UserWay Integration: We provide the UserWay Accessibility Widget as a supplementary tool for users who require customized contrast, font adjustments, or cursor modifications.
